Information for the members of the IB Committee 2007
 Introduction

Committee Directive:

 

The IB Committee will investigate the International Baccalaureate program and its possible adoption at the International School.  The committee will research all aspects of the IB program and consider all of the implications of its possible adoption at IS.  The committee will produce an objective report of its findings detailing all of the possible advantages and disadvantages of IB for IS.  The committee will not make any recommendation in regard to adopting the IB program, but offer its findings to PDC for further consideration.

 

The committee consists of three staff members, two parent and two student representatives.  Its roster is:

 

Kent Webb (Committee Chair): High School, International Studies Department

Lee Holt: High School, Science Department

Michelle Hood: Middle School, Humanities Department

Sheri White: Parent, PDC Representative

Cynthia Knotts: Parent Representative

Sarah Iskra: Student Representative

Jonathan Matson: Student Representative

 

The committee will begin its work no later than the beginning of the 2007/2008 academic year and even earlier if possible.  It intends to finish its work by November 1st, 2007 and present its findings to the PDC soon after.
