158 Q ADVANCED PIANO
Length/Credit 1 semester - 0.5 credit; (SHS only: 1 quarter 0.5 credit)
Prerequisite Successful completion of Beginning Piano or equivalent playing experience
Other Info This course is for any student with prior piano experience and understanding of music fundamentals. Fulfills .5 of the Bellevue School District and State's Benchmark III high school Fine Arts requirement.
Location Bellevue, Interlake, Newport, Sammamish
   
Intermediate or advanced players expand their current skills and further their experience with literature appropriate for their level. A course of study is determined by student conference with the teacher, and progress toward established goals is the student’s responsibility. Students have the opportunity to play for each other in the class as well as play duets, and/or accompany other musicians. MIDI technology is available for students to learn sequencing, writing and/or arranging. Students work at their own pace and have individualized lessons.
