Prerequisite	Completion of Japanese 4 or equivalent
Other Info	Students will take the AP exam in the spring. Those receiving a score of 3, 4 or 5 may receive college credit in 200-level equivalent classes, depending upon the university in which they choose to enroll.
Location	Bellevue

Students will become proficient in the areas of reading, listening, and speaking through the study of Japanese literature, art and history. Class will be conducted 100% of the time in Japanese. Creative thinking and writing are also emphasized at this level. Students will practice reading current Japanese newspapers. Mastery of kanji is another important focus of this course.
