| The AP Calculus AB course follows the Advanced Placement syllabus and prepares students for the AP test in May. Course study will includeproperties of functions, limits, differential calculus, and integral calculus. Use of symbolic differentiation and integration techniquesare also included. Use of the graphing calculator is an integral part of this course and its use is required on the advanced placement test. AP Calculus AB is meant to be taken instead of AP Calculus BC, not before AP Calculus BC. The two courses are not sequential since the BC course contains the entire AB course. | |
