Interested in making movies and professional videos? Media Production Technology covers professional video and film production. Students work in a modern video and film postproduction facility with industry standard, state-of-the-art equipment. Students get hands on experience planning, writing, directing, shooting, editing and producing video, using digital video cameras, professional computer editors, audio and lighting equipment. Student projects are entered in local and national video and film festivals. Career opportunities in this exciting and rapidly expanding industry are explored through visits to local studios and video production facilities, and through meeting industry professionals who visit as guest speakers. This class prepares students for advanced college courses and/or for work in the industry.
