In this course, high school sophomores learn specific writing skills and apply them to a variety of contexts and purposes as they prepare to demonstrate their academic writing competence by taking the WASL. Course content includes Biblical Allusions, autobiography, short story, poetry, drama, and the novel.

 

Students integrate information literacy skills for a variety of purposes to inform this content area. Lessons are developed in collaboration with Library Media Specialists, curriculum developers and classroom teachers. They are of two types - those taught by Library Media Specialists and those taught in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
