The purpose of Foundations of World History is to develop a greater understanding of the evolution of global processes and contacts with different types of societiesfocusing on an understanding of cultures, institutions, technology, and geography prior to 600 C.E.
Students integrate information literacy skills for a variety of purposes to inform this content area. Lessons are developed in collaboration with Library Media Specialists, curriculum developers and classroom teachers. They are of two types - those taught by Library Media Specialists and those taught in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
