Length/Credit 1 year - 1.0 Elective credit; (SHS only: 1 semester 1.0 credit)
Prerequisite Completion of Spanish 3 or equivalent
Other Info In designated Spanish 4 classes, students may choose to pay a fee to co-enroll in a Bellevue Community College Spanish 103 class. Those earning a "B" grade or better in the course can receive 103 credit for taking Spanish 4 in the high school. Course 103 satisfies the World Language requirement for graduation from Washington four-year universities in most departments.

The class is conducted entirely in Spanish 100% of the time. Students continue to enhance and develop the four skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing. In addition to using the text, students use technology, watch films in the target language, give oral presentations and skits, read short stories, and write original stories in efforts to increase their knowledge and fluency in Spanish. Cultural topics focus on the customs and traditions of the people of the Spanish-speaking world.
