The biology course includes the study of ecology, cells and transport, genetics and heredity, evolution, human nervous endocrine and immune systems, as well as human development. Laboratory experiences foster an understanding of the methods of scientific investigation and development of scientific habits of mind.
High School students are trained in information skills through specific lessons designed to support district curriculums. Lessons are developed in collaboration with Library Media Specialists, curriculum developers and classroom teachers. They are of two types - those taught by Library Media Specialists and those taught in collaboration with the classroom teacher
